The TEAM JIMBEE runner, based in Cartagena, has completed the challenge of going up and down La Sagra (2,381 m) in La Puebla de Don Fadrique (province of Granada) as fast as possible.
Zaid Ait Malek is the new recordman of La Sagra with a time of 1h 01' 24". At eight o'clock in the morning, Zaid set off from the door of the Collados de la Sagra hotel towards the summit of La Sagra. Ahead of him were 4 km and 900 m of positive ascent in which the last 3 km accumulated almost all the difference in altitude.

Previously, there was no official record of the ascent of the "El Embudo" route, which was the route chosen by Zaid for this challenge.
"I'm happy with the time, although I think it's possible to go under 1 hour. It was a really fast descent and I felt really good. It took me 16 minutes to get down from the top to the hotel door. It's spectacular to be in an environment like this and enjoy nature like this".
