A few days ago was published on the website of the Fed. Andaluza de Triatlón website an interesting interview they did with us to know about our origins, our present and our future in the world of triathlon. We hope you like it:
Meeting our Sponsors: Mobel Sport
Thursday, 26 November 2020
Today we are lucky enough to get to know one of our sponsors, Mobel, a little better. From the sportswear brand they have offered us the following interview:
What were the beginnings of the brand like?
The brand was started between 1987 and 1989, the manager of the company came from the world of sportswear trade and thought of making a brand seeing the demand there was from clubs that needed their own personalised clothing.
The beginnings were in the world of team sports such as football, basketball, volleyball... Subsequently the types of customers were extended to schools, federations... the product portfolio was also extended to tracksuits, sweatshirts, both sportswear and streetwear.
It was from 2005, perhaps more with the crisis of 2008, when with the rise of more individual and technical sports such as triathlon, trailrunning or cycling, the brand began to specialize in this type of products with more technical fabrics and components where you have to make a development based on adverse conditions of both weather and product performance (thermal fabrics, anti-abrasion, waterproof, more adapted patterns ...). But also continuing with the line of fully customised sportswear.

What are your triathlon goals for the next few years?
The objectives in terms of triathlon are a little complicated to define because triathlon is a sport that is still growing and in which there are many people who are just starting to get to know it. The objectives are to continue positioning ourselves with the clubs that are becoming more established every year together with the new ones that are appearing, manufacturing their personalised clothing and making more and more technical products.
How has Mobel evolved in the Andalusian Triathlon scene?
Andalusia was the first community with which we started working with triathlon. Already about 10 years ago we started working with clubs like ADSevilla and the Andalusian Triathlon Federation was the first autonomous federation in Spain with which we started our activity. The relationship with Andalusia has always been very good and important.

What benefits does your brand bring to a triathlete? What differentiates you from other brands?
There is a lot of competition... but in terms of value for money I think we are the number one, we are developing more and more technical products, with better fabrics and at reasonable prices.
It has been triathlon with the sport that we have adapted our rates and our way of working from only 6 units, but 100% customised. Especially for smaller clubs starting from 0 we offer this facility.
On the other hand, we try to offer a good service with punctual delivery, keeping to schedules.
