Mobel has partnered with long-time World Tour team Cofidis to create a range of winter clothing suitable for all conditions during the coldest months of the year.
This collection has been specifically designed for the team based in the north of France, where cyclists often train and compete in difficult environments for a significant part of the season.
Let's go for it...
"Zoom", the long-sleeved mid-season jersey
We saw this garment at some classic races and competitions earlier this year, all in red, in “Cofidis” style tones. It's perfect for temperatures ranging from 8 to 18 degrees, with several layers aimed at striking a balance between warmth and comfort while cycling. The interior is soft and slightly fleecy, also known as quilted, with a good fit and three back pockets.
“Mega Thermo”, the thermal long-sleeved jersey
A step forward in protection and warmth. The Cofidis team requested a winter garment for use in temperatures of around 5 degrees.
The garment is made up of several layers. The chest and front panel feature a thermal and waterproof membrane, ideal for protection against the light but persistent drizzle common in the Lille team area. The back and edges are made of winter lycra with a padded interior, providing elasticity and comfort.
The garment also includes features to improve protection for runners, such as a small protrusion on the back and a cuff closure with a thermal membrane to prevent cold and water from entering.
In three words: warm, flexible and breathable.
All in all, this garment is warm, flexible and breathable, which makes it suitable for very cold workouts or the first few kilometers of a race in difficult conditions.
It will be part of Mobel's upcoming winter collection and will be available for custom orders for next winter.
"Mega Waterproof", the waterproof jacket
The jacket has been designed based on the team's short-sleeved jersey to provide elegance while serving its main purpose of protection from the rain.
It offers protection without sacrificing comfort, lightness and aerodynamics. The aim is to avoid the “sail” effect that some similar garments have.
The entire jacket is made from a 100% waterproof membrane, with heat-sealed seams and up to three layers: the outer waterproof layer, the middle layer and the inner layer that allows heat to escape.
The middle has an injected zipper for durability, along with a neoprene shell to prevent water ingress.
"Stormrace", the short and long jacket
These jackets are very popular with both amateur and professional cyclists. Unlike other models, they are made from a fabric that can be sublimated, which means that Mobel has been able to customize them with the Cofidis colors. This makes it possible to clearly distinguish cyclists on rainy days in the middle of the peloton.
The jackets have a waterproof and thermal membrane, perfect for light rain and very tight, allowing for fast riding in competition. This design prioritizes the balance between protection and comfort.
"Nordic, the thermal jacket
In the coldest and toughest terrain, the “Nordic” jacket is designed to withstand extreme conditions. It's perfect for training in very cold weather.
It's heavier and offers robust features such as a collar with fleece reinforcement and a double layer. In addition to the outer layer, a vest-shaped layer is added which is not visible, allowing the jacket to be opened when climbing.
With the “Nordic” jacket, we conclude this winter collection, which was created from scratch in collaboration with the French team.
